My healing journey didn’t start in a yoga studio, a meditation class, or a spiritual retreat. 

It started in 2002, the day I finally found the courage to leave my abusive partner of six years. 

I packed everything I could fit into a Honda Civic, buckled in my 2-year-old and my 2-month-old, and drove straight into the unknown. 

I left… thinking freedom would fix everything. But leaving didn’t end the trauma — it exposed it. For the next five years, I bled my unhealed pain onto everyone and everything around me. 

I was surviving, not living. I was exhausted, reactive, burned out, and constantly fighting my own nervous system. 

Until one day… I got tired of my own patterns. I wanted more. For myself. My daughters. And the woman I knew I could become. 

So I started talk therapy. Thirteen years of it. It helped me survive — but my soul still whispered, “There’s more.” 

That whisper led me to Energy Healing. And then to Sound Healing. 

And that’s when everything finally clicked.

Why I Became a Healer

I didn’t become a healer because I always knew I wanted to help people.

I became a healer because I needed to heal myself first.
 Because traditional healing only took me so far.
Because my body was still carrying stories my mind couldn’t rewrite.

Energy healing cracked me open.
Sound healing brought me home.

And once I experienced what true transformation felt like —
I knew I wasn’t meant to keep it to myself.

My healing became my calling.
My calling became my gift.
My gift became my work.

Who I Am Today

Hi, I’m Maria Voorhees-Reincke — an Intuitive Energy Healer, Sound Healer, and Reiki Master. 

But more importantly? I’m a woman who has walked through fire and decided to become the light she couldn’t find. 

My path isn’t polished. It’s lived. Raw. Real. 

It’s woven with resilience, intuition, and a deep understanding of what it feels like to carry emotional weight you can’t name — and finally set it down.
